Webinar with Strathclyde (1 Apr 2022)

The Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde in Scotland, UK is providing a live webinar to give you an overview of the study options available through the partnership between EE (int. program) KMITL and Strathclyde.
The session will be presented by Dr Martin Given from the Department of EEE and Mr Robert Graham from the Faculty of Engineering.  Dr Given has a wealth of experience, particularly in the properties of insulation systems, including the design of switching systems for the Pulse Power applications.  In addition to research, Dr Given has taken an active role in teaching for the Department both at home and overseas.
This event will give you the opportunity to hear about what you will study in years 3 and 4 at Strathclyde and the admissions process and scholarships will also be covered.

Jobs availabilities

Electrical engineers have played a major role in the development of technological advances such as nationwide electrical power, hybrid cars, alternative energy sources, monitoring and control systems. There are lots of career opportunities since electrical power is the most versatile in our daily life. Hence, electrical power engineers can work or run their own business in factories, testing, maintenance and management in electrical infrastructure, power plants, etc. Graduated students are eligible to be professional engineers and broaden their career opportunities.

KMITL

As specified by the 1971 King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Act, KMITL was originated by an amalgamation of three technical colleges: Nondhaburi Institute of Telecommunications, North Bangkok Technical College and Thonburi Technical College. In the same year, the Nondhaburi Institute of Telecommunications, or known as King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology at Nondhaburi Campus, was relocated to the district of Ladkrabang in Bangkok. The new campus was called ”Chao Khun Taharn Ladkrabang Campus”. The Nondhaburi Institute of Telecommunications became the Faculty of Engineering in 1972. In the same year, the College of Design and Construction located at the Bangplad district was transformed into the Faculty of Architecture affiliated with KMITL.

The EE international program is running under SIIE by Department of Electrical Engineering.

Welcome message from the program committees

Although, this program has been running for 3 years, but we are in Electrical department with a long history teaching in Electrical engineering. We have many professional staffs who are dedicated to provide you with an enjoyable experience in both classrooms and laboratories. And this international program is emerging to serve the high demand of global engineers, also for the ones who wants to extend their opportunities in future careers.
Generally, EE is studying about Electrical power generation, Transmission, Distribution and Conversion. Facilities in Labs, tools are prepared for students to adventure and gain professional skills throughout 4 years. The curriculum is designed for future technologies such as green energy, electrification technology. Graduated students are illegible for getting professional license from COE.
Faculty of engineering also support scholarships for qualified candidates every year. Also in a very short future, our students will have a chance of studying abroad with top rank University in UK, Strathclyde. There will be collaborated program for qualified students those can transfer and spend the last two years studying over there and get dual degrees.
Best wishes for success in pursuing your dreams. It’s your choice for your new step in your life. If you are interested in this program, faculty staff and I are happy to assist or provide more information.
